Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s message on World Peace Day
September 21st, 2010We live in a world of unprecedented challenges, posed mainly to global peace and security. After the efforts of generations, humanity has come to a point where peaceful coexistence, culture of dialogue between different religions and communities and processes of cohesion and integration among human societies has become a universally agreed principle. And we must have a firm commitment to continue to promote peaceful coexistence in this world. The efforts for global peace must continue and should not be distracted in order to ensure global peace and prosperity. While we observer World Peace Day today, it is our collective duty to work for promotion of peace in the world. My message to the younger generation is to ensure peace and love amongst yourselves, your neighbours and the society and to become torchbearers of peace and harmony at global level.
We need to understand that all religions of the world enjoin upon their followers to foster peace and renounce violence. It is wrong to bracket it with religion. Islam is a religion of love peace and knowledge and it is most unfortunate that some elements are committing the act of terrorism in the name of Islam. Such elements have no connection with Islam. Islam is a promoter of global peace.
Never let your dis agreement on knowledge turn into opposition : by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr.Tahir-ul-Qadri
September 17th, 2010Never let your self be distraught or be confused on this matter that all the great scholars and personalities of Islam do not have the same, one, agreeable opinion upon a certain matter in a congregative way. However, if this happens it is the most best of blessings and a thing that is full of good.
Even though on certain issues if someone differs or disagrees in opinion, that dis-agreement should not cause distraught and confusion leading to opposition.
Because, if a dis-agreement remains only a dis-agreement then it is a blessing, but if that dis-agreement turns into an opposition then it is not a blessing but an inconvenience for everyone.
And if we try to remove the limit or the distance between opposition and dis-agreement then it is bad for the Ummah and for our schools of thought as well.
Sadly, we have removed the difference between dis-agreement and opposition.
Wherever there is a dis-agreement we turn it into opposition, which further turns into a debate, leading to a dispute.
If a certain dis-agreement is literary then there is no harm, because literary dis-agreements were found among the Sahaba Ajmaeiin (Radhi Allahu Anhu) too, but they never opposed each other. Such literary dis-agreements were found among the Tabieen, Taba Tabieen, the great scholars and the 4 Imaams too.
But their way was to let their dis-agreement remain only a dis-agreement and not to turn their dis-agreement into opposition, therefore, it then remains a mercy.
Therefore, the first rule for the unity of Muslim Ummah is that we must make a strong intention, deep in our hearts, that we will never let our literary dis-agreement turn into a mutual opposition, therefore in this way dis-agreements never cause harm. This should be a fundamental principle of thought in uniting the Ummah.

Islam is all about Love Peace Mercy :: by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr.Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadrir
September 14th, 2010Whats the true Concept of ” The Islamic State ” Khilafat ?
September 14th, 2010There is a misconception in the minds of Muslim youth that there should be only one khalifah, a single leader of the Islamic ummah.
This is in fact a misinterpretation of the Holy Prophets (saw) hadith. This hadith applies to any situation in which a group of Muslims unite and appoint a leader, as the Holy Prophet (saw) said, even if there are only three people, one of them should be appointed as leader. What this hadith means, therefore, is that if a number of Muslims unite and agree on a leader and make a bayat of obedience to the head of that grouping, regardless of its size, if any of them were then to rebel against that leader and claim to be Amir that rebellion would amount to treason. It does not mean that, in the whole world, it is not permissible to have two Islamic leaders. That only applied at the time of al-Khulafa ar-Rashideen;
it was only then that only one khalifah was permissible
This is the context in which the Holy Prophet (saw) said what he said and understanding it in any other way is wrong. There is no hadith stating there should be only one Amir in the whole world from the east to the west and that there cannot be two. The Holy Prophet (saw) never said this. His philosophy was establishment of Imarah wherever one is. Even if there are only three people, they should appoint an Amir and work under him. Given that the Holy Prophet (saw) allowed his ummah to establish Imarah when there are only three people how could it possibly be that the whole ummah of Islam with a population of 1.25 billion should be limited to one Amir?
The basic objective of an Islamic government is to administer
justice, keep the peace, provide the basic necessities of the population and defend the state. In a situation where Muslims are living all over the world, thousands and thousands
of miles away from one another, separated by oceans, the ummah is no longer a rudimentary system of village and tribal communities so how is it possible for one authority to keep control? Effective control cannot be established; law and order cannot be maintained; the basic needs and necessities
cannot be provided; the basic rights and duties of the state cannot be fulfilled. In the present circumstances a single man could not oversee all these things and would be unable to fulfil the duties incumbent on a Muslim ruler. It is inconceivable that Islam and the Holy Prophet (saw) would say that there should only be one Amir for the whole world. The truth is that the Holy Prophet (saw) not only allowed a plurality of Amirs but also recommended every three people
to establish Imarah when they travelled. In this way there can in fact be hundreds of Amirs. The basic premise is for Muslims to live under the system of Imarah in a state of taah (obedience to authority) and to live disciplined lives. It is clear that there should be an Amir in every Muslim territory to establish unity

Scholar’s Different Nature ( Tabiat-Zaoq) behaind Fatwa of Takfir & Silence
September 8th, 2010This clip has been taken from lecture “Asr e Hazir aur Ijma e Ummat Mashaekh conference عصرحاضراوراجماع امت UK 2009 ” In this Clip Shayk ul Islam speaks about Unity & Consensus of Muslim Ummah.he qouted from islamic history that there used to be differences of opinion between different scholars but none of them ever abused or done takfir .He further says Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel was called as Sadooq Sahih ul Hadith by great Imams of Hadith like Imam Tirmidi Imam Hanbal & Imam Homaidi while Great Authority of Hadith Yayah bin Maeem didnt consider him as Hujjat authority and differed with those great Imams like tirmidi & imam ahmad bin hanbal . Even Imam Kaseer bin Abdullah Bin Amr bin Auf al Muzali accepted his Hadiths as Authentic Sahih while at the same time Imam Ahmad bin Hanble has opposite view from Imam Tirmidi ! Then he gave the example of Imam Bukhari & Imam Abu Hanifa that Even Imam Bukhari had some Differances with Imam Abu Hanifa due to misuderstanding & misinformation by some people. Its normal practice to have minor faroi differances with other schoalrs on some research. then he gave another example from islamic history that Even Jabir bin Yazid Al-Jufi was accused of being Kazab by Imam e Azam Abu Hanifa & Yayha Bin Mueem due to misundersatnding.while on the other hand two great imams of that time whom imam abu hanifa used to consider them there imams i,e imam shoba bin al-hajaj & sufian bin Aueina gave opposite verdict from imam abu hanifa !!!! then he further gave another example that Even great companion Ikrima Maula Ibn Abas got accused of Kazab/lier from his fellow Scholars ! at the same time there were some Aaimas like Ibn Abi Zaib -Yahah bin Maim & Imam Bukhari who took hadiths from hazrat ikrima(ra).
He then give another important example about taking Riwaiyat from Mubtadeen (Bidaties Murjia Irjiaa Muhtazilia Khawarji) .If some imam whose aqaeed aur sucpicous of Mubtadi …but his accusation of lier/Kazab is not established then great autorities like mam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa Imam Shafi Imam Bukhari etc. used to take those hadiths from those mubtadeen and consider them as Hujjat /Authority.
